Bird that Flew in Circles and Ate Fish

35" x 52"

This was part of a group exercise by the SAQA Northern California regional group. 11 of us made 36" circles in any method we wanted. We then stacked them into a pile and cut them into 11 wedge segments. We each took one segment done by each person. We were then assigned to put them together in any way we wished. Mine ended up as a bird with fish in his belly.

Machine pieced and machine quilted with many colored and metallic threads, couching, loose threads and pompom.
