In her 2007 tour, Louise found this mola . It is made with the same dot fabric for the top and foundation layers. I was intrigued with it and went on a binge of making molas combining various related fabrics

I got carried away with these seven molas of various 3 layer fabric combinations made in 2007.
 

bullseye
BULLSEYE
Made of two fabrics with matching bullseye design, the foundation is scarlet. A lighter shade of the fabric design was inserted within channels made in the top layer of a darker shade.


my molaMY MOLA
Made with the vertical stripe fabric for the top. The inserted layer added with the same stripe fabric used horizontally over a pink foundation layer.

vertigoVERTIGO
The foundation layer has the waves going vertically. The top layer is the same fabric with the waves going horizontally. the middle layer is blue gradating to purple.

FRED AND GINGER
Made of a zig zag stripe by Michael James in two different color schemes for the top and foundation layers. The middle layer is dark blue.
criss crossCRISS CROSS
Created similarly to the one above it with the horizontal stripes on the top layer. The inserted layer has stripes in a vertical direction. The foundation layer is teal.
chop sueyCHOP SUEY
The same diagonal stripe fabric for the top and the inserted layer in opposite directions. the foundation layer is gradated from green to blue.
