When the quilting revival began in the 1970's, Charlotte Patera used it to showcase her appliqué. Her work is frequently inspired by the art of primitive people. More recently, her interests have been in prehistoric rock art, mosaics, stones, evolvement of modern life and other diversified subjects. The author of five books, she is now retired from teaching and lecturing.
