CCCharlotte was attracted to rock art in 1994, when she made her first petroglyph quilt. After winning several awards in national shows and then selling it to Levi Strauss, & Co. for their corporate
collection, she continued on to make over 25 more large and small pieces. She visited and photographed sites of petroglyphs and pictographs but many other figures were sketched from photographs in books.
